Grandparents Day 2026 
This week we were delighted to welcome grandparents and family members into our school for a very special celebration. It was wonderful to finally meet the lovely people we hear so much about and to celebrate the important role they play in our pupils’ lives.
The children had great fun creating artwork especially for the day and showcasing their talents through music, song and Irish dancing 
From polkas and jigs to favourites like Shoe the Donkey, The Black Velvet Band and Bofield Belle, the performances were a joy to watch. A much-loved rendition of Killeigh echoed through the school, and a very brave pupil treated us to a beautiful solo of A Coat of Many Colours — bualadh bos 
Our visitors were interviewed by the pupils, with some brilliant questions and surprising answers, and everyone enjoyed refreshments kindly organised by our Parents Association

Lá Fhéile Bríde
Our whole school came together to make St Brigid’s Day crosses, celebrating a tradition that reminds us of St Brigid’s message of kindness, care for others and protection for our homes and school. The senior pupils helped the younger students and everyone had a completed cross to bring home at the end of the day. Thank you to Fr Kelly for blessing the crosses.
