We had a fantastic Christmas Concert evening in Castleconnor Community Centre. There was music, song and two onstage productions with audience participation, lots of laughs and panto fun!

The junior classes performed “Hey Ewe!” which tells the story of the birth of baby Jesus from the perspectiveof a curious sheep. Everyone got to Bethleham safely. The angels appeared from the heavens at the appropriate time The wise men made a long trek across the hills and the shepherds worked hard to keep the sheep under control. Finally, Baby Jesus arrived to great celebration.

The senior pupils showcased “Cinderella & Rockerfella”, this is adaption of the classic fairytale. Cinderella dreams of escaping her life of chores and family strife. Rockerfella, a famous musician, is tired of the superficial celebrity life and yearns for

something real. The Ugly sisters are determined to prevent Cinderella from moving on with her life. Rockerfellas manager is very unhappy with his decision to retire from stardom and the faeries in training do their very best to prevent Fairy Nasty from getting her way. Buttons is very concerned about her friend Cinders and is delighted when she was offered a trip to the transformation station just before she heads off to the ball. Add in the paparazzi and a very dodgy bakery to the mix and chaos ensued. Luckily the shoe fits and all is well by the end of the show.

All our pupils did a fantastic job on the night; we are so proud of them and delighted to see them enjoy their time on the “Big” stage.

We held a raffle for some lovely Christmas hampers and there were lots of yummie goodies and refreshments at the interval supplied and served by our Parents Association. Thank you to everyone who came, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
