Sports Day 2025

Our Annual Sports Day was held last week. The sun shone down on the day’s activities. The whole school was divided into teams and competed in a variety of races and activities. The day started with a smartie race in the classroom and then moved outside. These included traditional races such as hurdles, egg and spoon, three-legged race and the wheelbarrow race. They also participated in the Big Knicker race, a water relay, an obstacle course and a target shoot. The parents joined in and participated in an egg and spoon race and a sack race of their own – well done parents!

 As tradition dictates the day finished up with a Water Fight, anyone who wanted to participate came to school armed the necessary equipment which ranged from sqeezie bottles to Super Soakers. Lots of towels were needed at home time!

The scores were totted up and the Sports Day Awards were held.

The Junior and Senior Sports Stars were each presented with a Stokane National School Sports Star Shield.

The winning team were awarded medals and a special award was also given for outstanding sportsmanship.

Congratulations to our Sports Stars and well done to everyone who participated.
