We celebrated Catholic Schools’ Grandparents’ Day last week.
Parents, grandparents and other family members joined us at the school for a cup of tea or coffee followed by some music played by the pupils. We had a sing song with everyone joining in enthusiastically and then as tradition dictates a short céilí followed. Young and old sang and danced together and a great morning’s fun was had by all. It’s lovely to meet the family members that we hear so much about from the pupils but don’t often meet.
We extend our thanks and appreciation to our Music teacher Mr. Peter Neary who worked so hard with the pupils to prepare a showcase of their musical talents and acted as MC on the day.
Our thanks go to all the pupils and their families who arrived with plates and trays of goodies to be enjoyed with a cuppa.
A big thank you to everybody who joined us, we really enjoyed meeting you and having you visit our school.
