The Stokane National School Marching Band were honoured to be asked to play at the Sligo County Intermediate and Senior Football Finals on Sunday in Markievicz Park.

They kept the crowd entertained with a selection of tunes during half time of the Intermediate Game which was played between Coolaney/Mullinabreena and Easkey.

It was very exciting to see the school name displayed on the score board while they played music.

The Senior Football match was between Cúil Iarra/Leathros/Strandhill and St Molaise Gaels.            The band led the teams around the pitch, before the match and then played the National Anthem at the grandstand. They were delighted when the crowd sang along.

Thank you to Sligo GAA for inviting the school to participate.

We were delighted to have some of our former pupils join us on the day.

 Everyone really enjoyed the experience.
