This year we headed to Castlebar for our School Tour.
The morning was spent at the Bowling Alley in Mayo Leisure Point. Tensions were high as competition raged in the lanes, especially in lane 7 where the staff were competing! There were lots of shouts of encouragement and the odd groan of despair as a bowling ball disappeared down the gully. Everyone had a ball; it was a great way to begin the day.
After a much-needed lunch, the group split up into two sections. The junior pupils headed for the out-door playground followed by a trip to Funster Activity Centre where they climbed, bounced, slid and played nonstop!
The senior group donned wetsuits and spent the afternoon on Lough Lannagh. Kayaking and Supping were the activities of the day along with a trip across the lake on a Monster SUP board.
The inevitable water fights got underway and most ended up in the water as well as on it!
Overall, it was a fantastic day out and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
Our thanks go to Mayo Leisure Point, Funster Play Centre and Mayo Adventure Experience for a great day.
