This term has been a very busy one for our pupils, as swimming lessons and tennis coaching were included into their weekly routine.
Each Tuesday they have participated in weekly swimming lessons in Ballina Swimming Pool. Everyone worked hard at their swimming technique and progressed through the lessons really well. Maybe we have a school of fish instead of children!
Our thanks to the teachers and life guards at Ballina Pool as well as the bus driver for getting us there on time each week.
Friday afternoons have been dedicated to tennis, Artur from Ballina Tennis Club arrived each week and transformed our school yard in to tennis courts. We were very lucky with the weather as the sun shone most days. All pupils received tennis coaching from Artur and everyone enjoyed learning a new skill or bettering their technique. There were shouts of joy and groans of despair as they played their matches.
Thank you to Artur for his dedication, guidance and endless patience!
