Here at Stokane National School we love to celebrate all of the high days and holidays in the Calendar year. We especially love Hallowe’en and the fun we can have!

The pupils have been learning Hallowe’en songs and tunes, you may hear “The Witch with the wobbly Wand” or “The Witch is on her broomstick” being sung around the house.

We made Casper the Ghost and Winnie the Witch along with her cat Sooty. They will be part of the Scary Woods Walk event being held at Kilglass House and Woodlands. We hope they make you jump if you go and see them!

The Junior pupils had great fun making Witches Hats, it’s lovely to see their imagination at work!

We have a great display of carved pumpkins for our Pumpkin showcase in the school.

On Friday all of the pupils and staff got dressed up for Hallowe’en and we had some very unusual and interesting characters arrive to school! I am pleased to say they even got some work done before the fun and festivities began! Luckily everyone behaved them selves and no one was eaten alive, scared stiff or turned into a frog!  Rumour has it that there was a secret meeting of the local witch’s coven during break time!

Happy Hallowe’en to everyone from the students and staff of Stokane National School.
