The senior Classes from Stokane National School were delighted to once again take part in the SSRP SuperValu Primary Schools Athletics Fest last Thursday.

The sun shone as primary school children from all over County Sligo descended on the athletics arena at ATU for the annual SSRP SuperValu Primary Schools Athletics Fest co-ordinated by Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership.

The event was a great success with a record number of schools and participants with one thousand two hundred primary school children representing 40 primary schools taking part.

The pupils participated on both individual and team relay events. They arrived back to school wearing their team t shirts and waving their certificates with pride. A great day was had by all.
