We had a very enjoyable Graduation Ceremony for our Sixth class during our last school week in June.

It included a lovely Graduation Mass celebrated by Father Kelly and a wonderful concert  where all the pupils got to showcase their musical talent and singing under the tutelage of Mr Peter Neary. Our thanks go to both Father Kelly and Mr Neary for their participation and support.

Mrs Bonner and Mrs Flynn spoke about Sixth class both as a group and individuals, they explained how much they enjoyed teaching them and also told a few stories!

Each Sixth-class pupil then stood up and talked about their favourite memories of their time at Stokane N.S. Many of their memories covered the funny happenings that inevitably occur in school life and evoked a lot of laughter from the audience.

We also had a Graduation Cake which was cut and served by Sixth Class.

We would like to extend a big thankyou to all the parents, grandparents and friends who joined us, many bearing yummie goodies to be enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee afterwards.

Graduation Day is a happy day tinged with sadness, we are delighted to see our Sixth class move onward and upward in the world but are a little sad that we will no longer get to see them on a daily basis. We love to get regular updates on how they are getting on and hope that they will come back and visit us when they can.
