Stokane NS is delighted to be part of a Creative Art Cluster where we partner with a number of other schools in the area to focus on innovative art and creative learning. We went on our 1st field trip to Enniscrone Beach where the students participated in a hands-on workshop focused on foraging and making pigments from natural materials under the guidance of Kari Cahill, a site-responsive artist living in Sligo. She is the co director and co founder of LaY of the Land – a site responsive arts organisation. The sun shone down all day and it was lovely to spend the day outside. The pupils had to put their thinking caps on for the Treasure Hunt  and we finished the day with a football kick about on the beach.
