The school got a lovely write up in the July edition of Mayo Now covering the visit Micheål Naughton made to Stokane in June. Micheål presented the junior and senior sports star shields and took the opportunity to speak to the students as they sat on the astroturf in the glorious sunshine. He told the students about the three things that influenced him – ” Believe in yourself, hard work and show respect”. His visit coincided with the turning of the sod for the next phase of Stokane Community Park which commenced as soon as school holidays started. We would like to say thank you to Micheål for taking the time to come and visit the school and to Mayo Now for such a lovely write up.
